I was recently offered the opportunity to review a copy of "The Book of Postfix", published by NoStarch press. This book aims to be complete guide to Postfix whether used by the home user, as a mail relay or virus scanning gateway, or as a company mail server.

This is an excellent book, Dent has explained the underlying methodology and use of Postfix well, taken the reader through all aspects of this MTA system and explained both the why and the how.

I would recommend this book (and, as a result Postfix) to anyone looking for an MTA and a guide to configuring and running : O'Reilly Media, Incorporated.

I thought "the book of postfix" was more up to date and helpful despite being just a year later than this one.
